Did You Know?

Though most of the exhibitions in the Wexner Center are only up for a limited time, it is home to a permanent outdoor installation designed by Maya Lin for the Center, entitled Groundswell, which is composed of rolling mounds of broken glass.

Most recently, visionary filmmaker Spike Lee received the Wexner Prize in 2008.The prize includes a $50,000 award and an engraved commemorative sculpture designed by renowned artist Jim Dine in 1991.

Through exhibitions, screenings, performances, artist residencies, and educational programs, the Wexner Center acts as a forum where established and emerging artists can test ideas and where diverse audiences can participate in cultural experiences that enhance understanding of the art of our time.
