There are weekly open track events for the locals to gain track time.There is a motorbike school at the track as well as most local car clubs such as the PCA run driving education sessions.

The track can also be driven in the rain but the surrounding runoff areas quickly turn to mud and many cars are buried up to the tops of their wheels in mud if they slide off in those conditions.There is food available at the track and there is plenty of paddock space for working on cars between lapping sessions.

It is low speed (most cars under 300 bhp); maximum speeds are around with cornering speeds around with the exception of turn 4 which is a fairly fast left-hander at around 80–100 mph.

Mid America Motorplex is an Alan Wilson-designed road circuit close to Omaha–Council Bluffs in Pacific Junction, Iowa.

It is a relatively safe track for people to learn to drive their cars at High Performance Driving Events.
