In 2008, the Western Fairs Association presented Stanislaus County Fair with a 1st place award for Best Overall Children’s Program.In 1911, the Turlock Melon Carnival took place for the first time, sponsored by the Turlock Chamber of Commerce.

There are up to six tracks per day that are shown featuring races from selected county fairs every June through October.

Fair guests could park at either California State University Stanislaus or Pitman High School and ride free to and from the Stanislaus County Fair’s arch gate entrance.
