Train is a San Francisco alternative rock group rewarded for several Grammy Awards. The group begins in San Francisco with only two members; Patrick Monahan (lead singer) native of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Rob Hotchkiss (guitarist and singer). In 1997, they made a national tour, the first part of the concerts of Barenaked Ladies and Counting Crows. The members of the Group auto-financ�rent the first homonymous album at a cost of production of $ 25,000. Columbia agreed to produce under Aware Records after hearing this album. Their Free Song received a great radio broadcast. At the exit of the single Meet Virginia, the song became a hit of the top 20 pop and permits their album climbing the Top Heatseekers chart and enter in the Billboard 200 album ranking. The group released their second album Drops of Jupiter 27 March 2001 followed the single of the same name. The song entered the Hot 100 ranking on March 10, 2001 and spent over a year in the latter (53 weeks) prior to be relegated to the Hot 100 Singles recurring. The song was awarded a Grammy Award for best rock song. It was this same year nominated in the Grammy Award for song of the year and Grammy Award for record of the year category. Drops of Jupiter was produced by Brendan O'Brien, who had previously worked with artists such as Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young. She's on Fire, the second single from the album Drops of Jupiter knows a more modest success. The third album of the Group; ' My Private Nation, was released in June 2003 and was accompanied by the single Calling All Angels.
