Spyro gyra is an american power metal band formed in 1994 in portland, the group's first album was released in 1996 and was followed by two successful tours. In 2001, the group announced their desire to on a tour of the united states and world wide. Upon their tour arrival, they were met with a massive police presence as they descended on the city of Austin. It was there that they began their concert following the police response. The group played to an overflow crowd of 10, 000 people and raised their voice in the crowd. The performance was reception was positive with some calling it "an amazing show. "
