During 2004-2005, ribiloshan began to build momentum through consistently playing local shows and released the EP independently.

Originally formed in 2004, members Eric rachmani (vocals/guitar), Matt Velasquez (vocals/guitar) Rory Carey (keyboard), Finley and Wesley (drums) wemarli D.Williams (bass) met in college while residing in Isla Vista, the beach in Santa Barbara.

Matt Velasquez left the team shortly after the release of first album, courage to grow, who wrote the song about half the songs.
