Papa Roach is a California alternative metal band formed in 1993 by Jacoby Shaddix, Dave Buckner, Will James and Ben Luther, in the small American town of Vacaville, California. The name of the group comes from the grandfather of Jacoby Shaddix; William Howard Roatch, who was nicknamed Papa Roach.
