Shortly after, Opeth met guitarist Kim Pettersson and bassist Johan DeFarfalla, who agreed to join the group. Pettersson was leaving Opeth after the first concert to return to see his wife in Germany. He was replaced by Peter Lindgren, a friend of à?kerfeldt.
