With in background audio cast of beauty and the beast, Nick has interpreted the song in the annual Broadway album in 2002 Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, Vol.4.En November 2003, INO Records received a demo of Joy to the World. While Nick was working on his solo project, Joe follows the footsteps of his brother playing on Broadway, appearing in Baz Luhrmann La Bohème production. In September 2004, a leader of Columbia Records found the song of Nick. Nick was immediately signed by INO Records and Columbia Records and was released the single Dear God. A second single, a new record of Joy to the World was released on November 16. It was assumed that eponymous album of Nick Jonas was to leave later in December but the output was cancelled; However, a limited output was put in place. Nick on the side of Kevin and Joe wrote several songs for the album. In early 2005, the new President of Columbia Records, Steeve Greenberg heard Nick disk. He loved the album but, after hearing the mock-up Please Be Mine, written and performed by the three brothers, Daylight/Columbia Records decided to sign them as a group.
