He is known for not only portraying Neil's singing voice, guitar playing and look, but also emulates the onstage banter and joke styles of Neil Diamond shown in his tours.

His current show features several montages about the life of Neil Diamond, and works as more as a tribute band show than an impersonation show.In November 2005, Jay played his 1,000th show as Neil Diamond to a sold-out auditorium.On December 3rd, 2009, due to low attendance and ticket sales brought on by the current economy, Jay White performed his final show at the Riviera Hotel/Casino.
