They found this name via a competition group create on the site FriendsOrEnnemies asking people to find a name, when the name "hey monday" was proposed, the Group loved this name and the took. When Pete Wentz, bassist and leader of the Fall Out Boy heard one of their demos, he wanted to immediately make them sign a contract. However Columbia Records was also interested in the talent of the young group. A common agreement was finally signed by Decaydance (label of Pete Wentz) and Columbia. Their first album Hold On Tight was recorded during the summer of 2008 and released on October 7. The first album of group Hold On Tight, released October 07, 2009, with as the first single Homecoming. The group then began a world tour in the first part of the Group Fall Out Boy with an Asia, Australia and the United Kingdom passages, and participated a their US tour "the Believers Never Die Part two" in the company of All Time Low and Cobra Starshipce helping them has build them a good "fan".
