Hemmental is a former municipality of the canton of Schaffhausen in Switzerland, currently part of the city of Schaffhausen. On April 27, 2008 took place the vote in the commune of Hemmental, asà­ in the city of Schaffhausen, to decide on the merger of the two communes. There were 187 votes in favour, against 184, with an absolute mayorà­a of 186 votes and 95.7% of the electorate in Hemmental. In the city of Schaffhausen 7444 Sà­, against 3599 there was not. Following approval by the Cantonal Council (cantonal Parliament) on June 2, 2008 by 69 votes in favour and 1 against, the Union of the municipality with the city of Schaffhausen Hemmental was adopted on January 1, 2009.
