Gretchen Parlato is a jazz singer American known for his Latin jazz approach. She has played and collaborated with such artists as Lionel Loueke, Herbie Hancock or Wayne Shorter. In 2005, she produced her first album, "Gretchen parlato", as leader. One-çi was named 5th best album of 2005 progressive jazz by Jazz Nation. In August 2007, she was named 3rd Rising Star singer in DownBeat magazine. In September of the same year, she performed with Wayne Shorter at La Villette Jazz Festival in Paris. In July 2008, Gretchen signed with the label ObliqSound. It is in August 2009 that fate "In A dream", his second album, the first on his new label. There is Lionel Loueke on guitar and voice, Aaron Parks on piano and Fender Rhodes, Derrick Hodge on electric and acoustic bass, and Kendrick Scott on drums.
