G.love and Special Sauce is a group of alternative hip-hop of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are known for their mixture of sounds of blues and RandB.El là­der of the band is Garrett Dutton, better known as G. Love, Jeffrey Clemens to the baterà­a, Mark Botce the keyboard and Timo Shanko with bass. The band was formed in January 1993 when Dutton was playing in a bar in Boston, The Tam or ' Shanter. Allà­ met drummer Jeffrey Clemens. Dutton and Clemens began working as a duo, which was joined a few months later Jimi Prescott and became the band esterella in The Plough and Stars in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Just after the G Love and Special Sauce closed another world tour, they returned to Philadelphia in 1999 to release their fourth album, Philadelphonic. Philadelphonic was succeeded by Electric Mile in 2001. In the summer of 2005, the band made an announcement for the launch of Coca-Cola Zero. June 24, it was released in the Superhero Brother. On January 15, 2009, G. Love announced on the website of the group that Jimi lineup Prescott was no longer member of the band. Love has released three solo albums. The first of these, The hustle, was the first release of G. Love on Brushfire Records, the label of Jack Johnson.
