Fiction Plane is a group of British rock formed in London in 2000.Le group consists of drummer Pete Wilhoit and Seton Daunt guitarist Joe Sumner, singer and bassist. Sumner is the eldest son of Sting (Gordon Sumner) of The Police group.,. Joe Sumner (voice, guitar) and Dan Brown (keyboards, low) form Santa's Boyfriend in London in 1999, they are both inspired by the music of Nirvana. Training completed by guitarist Seton Daunt and drummer Olly Taylor recorded the demo Swings and Roundabouts. Renamed Fiction Plane, the group signed with MCA in 2002 and recorded a first album entitled Everything Will Never Be OK under the direction of David Kahne. Drummer Olly Taylor left the band prior to recording, it is replaced on the disk by Abe Laboriel Jr. Studio musician American drummer Paul Wilhoit is then recruited before that group parte tour. The Quartet album out to the United States in March 2003 but his promotion is disrupted by the merger between the labels MCA Records and Geffen. Fiction Plane wrote new songs and turns to the United States and the Japan. The EP four titles Bitter Forces and Lame Race Horses produced by Paul Corkett out in 2005.Fiction Plane plays in the first part on seven dates of Sting's Broken Music Tour. March 23, 2009, Fiction Plane released his first live DVD. Recorded at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, December 7, 2008, it contains the concert, a new version of "It's a lie" and photos of the tour. During the summer 2009, Fiction Plane made an appearance at the Vieilles Charrues (Carhaix, alongside Bruce Springsteen and The Killers) and children of Rock (Nice).
