Dirty Projectors is an American rock band led by Dave Longstreth. Dave Longstreth's first album, The Graceful Fallen Mango, is published under the author's own name. In 2007, the band released Rise Above, reinterpret (memory) an album of the group Black Flag. The group is implementing this disk which became their trademark: the contrast between the voice very recognizable and Dave Longstreth inhabited with angelic harmonies of Amber Coffman and Susanna Weiche (later replaced by Angel Deradoorian). In April 2008, the group signed a contract with Domino Records. They leave their album on this new label, Bitte Orca, June 9, 2009.Auparavant the same year, the Group has collaborated with David Byrne on the song "knotty pine", recorded for compilation Dark Was the Night.
