The legendary pianist, Van Cliburn died yesterday after a long fight with bone cancer. Caliburn was honored in many occasions, for instance he won the major Moscow competition in 1958, and the International Tchaikovsky Competition. Van Caliburn is one of marking pianists of 20th century. spokeswoman Mary Lou Falcone said “He died peacefully in his Fort Worth, Texas, home … surrounded by loved ones”.

If you have been hearing rumors talking about the marriage of Janet Jackson, now this is no longer a gossip. Janet, the sister of the legend Michael Jackson, declared in a statement that she married her Qatari billionaire boyfriend last year “Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony”. And the talks about extravagant wedding is completely not true “Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities.” the couple said.

The Guitarist Magic Slim has died Thursday, February 21, at a Philadelphia hospital aged 75. He was playing Piano, but he turned to guitar after losing his right pinky finger at the age of 13. Slim was in the hospital for treatment as he was suffering emphysema and heart problems. Slim is known for an encyclopedic mastery of the blues and he made his first record in 1966.

The 2013 Oscar Awards ceremony is on doors, it will take place Sunday, February 24. So you may probably wonder who’s going to perform. Russell Crowe is among the performers, and if you are not a fan you there will as well be Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jennifer Hudson who is said will perform with “Les Mis” lead stars Anne Hathaway, the nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Hugh Jackman nominated for Best Actor. The surprises won’t stop here, but among the artists that will take the stage are Barbra Streisand, Adele, and Norah Jones.

The 30 year old pop star Kelly Clarkson fired back from her blog WhoSay.com at the 80 year old record mogul Clive Davis after he denigrated her in his new book “The Soundtrack of My Life” when he describe her that she “often speaks in public before she realizes the implications of what she’s saying”. And he added that Clarkson burst into “hysterical sobbing” when he demanded “Since U Been Gone” song to be put on her album. Clarkson wrote “I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses . . . It feels like a violation” and added “What’s most interesting about his story is what he leaves out: He doesn’t mention how he stood up in front of his company at a convention and belittled me and my music.”

Lady Gaga announced the news on Facebook and Twitter. “There’s an unfortunate announcement coming out right now, concerning myself and the Born This Way Ball,” revealed on facebook, and on Twitter she wrote “Im so sorry. I barely know what to say. I’ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened.” The pop star is suffering ‘synovitis,’ which is severe inflammation of joints that has a direct affect on movement.

Justin Timberlake announced that he’s going on tour the coming months. The tour is coming with the release of his new album The 20/20 Experience that will come out next month. In response to E! Online at the Grammys about touring, Justin said “Absolutely, yeah we’re definitely going to go on tour. We’re still putting it together, but it’s going to be a lot of fun.” Justin made his first performance at the 2013 Grammys took place last Sunday with many other singers.

If you are a fan of Taylor Swift, then here is good news. Taylor is going to open the Grammys 2013 performance scheduled to take place next Sunday. In response to taking the stage first, Taylor Swift told Ryan Seacrest “Oh my god, it’s Grammy week, it’s so hectic. I have a lot to plan for with the opening performance and I’m just really hoping all the pieces come together this week. Because this is when it really gets really crazy, but it’s all very exciting too”. Taylor is expected to perform “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” the Record of the year from her single Red. ”I think you should perform the song that’s nominated,” she told Seacrest.

Drake, 26, said that this new record’s style is going to be different from his second album, Take Care, released in 2011.

The rap artist, Nicki Minaj, is not upset for not being among the nominees for the Grammy Awards. Lately, in an interview, she said that she understood why she wasn’t selected. “I think that the Grammys had a different reason [for not nominating me] that I do not want to discuss,” and added I’ll get a Grammy eventually. I’m not worried about it.” But, if the artist is not angry for being nominated, her manager Cortez Bryant got about that. He tweeted “They was on some bulls*** for not nominating @NICKIMINAJ”.
