Because of illness, Rihanna was obliged to cancel her Sunday night show that was scheduled to take place at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. In a statement, her tour promoter Live Nation said “Unfortunately, following her sold out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor’s instruction is unable to perform this evening”. In a tweet Rihanna said “I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I’m so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes! #DWT”

The actress Valerie Harper, 73, known for her role as Rhoda Morgenstern in TV series The Mary Tyler Moore Show that was broadcasting in the 1970s has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. It’s reported that unfortunately the doctors said that her situation is critical and she won’t live more than three months. Harper had been diagnosed for lung cancer back in 2009 as she was a long time smoker.

New York Jets fans are wondering if the team would keep Tim Tebow. And the response come from the manager of the team John Idzik and said that “Tim, as you know, (is) currently on our roster and what we’re doing is we’re trying to increase competition at that position and positions across the board”. The new league year is to start in a week and fans still waiting if Tim Tebow will stay or traded.

If you too are affected by Harlem Shake fever, think twice before performing the dance at work. Last week, a group of eight miners in an Australian gold mine performed Harlem Shake while at work with their safety gear clothes, now they have lost their jobs because of the dance. The West Australian newspaper reported that the workers that performed the dance and some of those who just watched were fired. The company said that what the miners did was a break of its “core values of safety, integrity and excellence”. If you are invited to perform Harlem Shake at work, probably you need to shake your head no!

The legendary pianist, Van Cliburn died yesterday after a long fight with bone cancer. Caliburn was honored in many occasions, for instance he won the major Moscow competition in 1958, and the International Tchaikovsky Competition. Van Caliburn is one of marking pianists of 20th century. spokeswoman Mary Lou Falcone said “He died peacefully in his Fort Worth, Texas, home … surrounded by loved ones”.

Janet, the sister of the legend Michael Jackson, declared in a statement that she married her Qatari billionaire boyfriend last year “Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony”. And the talks about extravagant wedding is completely not true “Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities.” the couple said.

Anne Hathaway was among the nominees of Oscars 2013 for Best Supporting Actress and she looked full of enthusiasm when she was waiting for her name to be engraved on the statuette. With her dusky pink Prada dress, Anne was sitting in front of the engraver, and she looked seemingly happy and smiling with glee and couldn’t wait to see her name engraved.

The Guitarist Magic Slim has died Thursday, February 21, at a Philadelphia hospital aged 75. He was playing Piano, but he turned to guitar after losing his right pinky finger at the age of 13. Slim was in the hospital for treatment as he was suffering emphysema and heart problems. Slim is known for an encyclopedic mastery of the blues and he made his first record in 1966.

The 2013 Oscar Awards ceremony is on doors, it will take place Sunday, February 24. So you may probably wonder who’s going to perform. Russell Crowe is among the performers, and if you are not a fan you there will as well be Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jennifer Hudson who is said will perform with “Les Mis” lead stars Anne Hathaway, the nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Hugh Jackman nominated for Best Actor. The surprises won’t stop here, but among the artists that will take the stage are Barbra Streisand, Adele, and Norah Jones.
